AFC Playoff Preview

Eight more quarters, eight more quarters for two teams that are left in the AFC. One will go home broken, beaten, and defeat, the other, they will have punched their ticket to the big dance and a chance at NFL immortality, if they can win that is. The challengers; the 11-5 Baltimore Ravens, the 13-3 Buffalo Bills, the 11-5 Cleveland Browns, and the current Super Bowl champions, the14-2 Kansas City Chiefs. The Ravens will be traveling up north to take on the Buffalo Bills and the Cleveland Browns will be going into the normally but not this year, difficult, loud, and cold Arrowhead Stadium to challenge the Kansas City Chiefs.

Baltimore Ravens vs. Buffalo Bills

With their win last week against the Tennessee Titans and quarterback Lamar Jackson getting his first career playoff victory, the Ravens will have the momentum going into Buffalo to challenge the high powered Buffalo Bills, lead by their up and coming superstar John Allen. This is a match up, this could be and probably will be a good old fashioned 2 yards and a cloud of dust kind of game, its going to be cold, there is a chance for snow, specially in Buffalo, and that only helps the Ravens, who run the ball very well, and who would rather run the ball anyway. J.K Dobbins has been playing very well as of late, and he is a rookie, with fresher legs and has been gaining momentum each of the past few weeks leading up to this game. However, the Bills can run that rock as well a bit if they must, but they want to air it out, use Josh Allen's cannon of an arm to throw it 80 yards down field to one of the leagues best route running receivers in Stefon Diggs. Regardless of the Bills running the ball well or airing it out all day, they looked a bit lost at the end of the Colts game last week, at one point Allen looked shocked, and it wasn't from the horrible call by the refs late in the fourth quarter. Something isn't right in Buffalo currently, they do not have momentum going into this game and the Ravens are that team who no one wants to run into in the playoffs. If you're picking a winner, pick my pick, pick the Ravens.

Cleveland Browns vs. Kansas City Chiefs

The question here is simple, do the Chiefs turn it on passing the football finally, because if they do, this will not be a game, unless... the weather turns. The Browns need a lot to win this game, I believe they can win this game, but they need a lot. Baker has to play the best game of his young NFL career, both running backs need 100 yards on the ground and a couple touchdowns combine. Jarvis Landry will have to have a big play or two and will have to be all over the Chiefs cornerbacks when the Browns are running the ball. The defense will have to pray that it snows so the Chiefs are slowed down enough to even the speed odds which is in heavy favor of the Chiefs with Hill and friends. The Browns need a bit of help from up above this weekend if they plan to play in the AFC championship game next weekend, so... If you're going to pick a winner, pick my pick, pick.... The Chiefs. :(
