Sunday Special: Is Frank Gore a Hall of Fame running back?

As we are leading into the Super Bowl this season, NFL Honors upcoming, and the Hall of Fame inductions as well, and after taking a look at the leaders in all major stats for the NFL we noticed something very special that will be happening hopefully in the next season or two, pending one man and continue his amazing run in the NFL. That man is none other than running back Frank Gore, the silent assassin of the NFL and running backs today, do you realize Frank Gore is 3rd all time on the NFL's all time rushing list, 726 yards behind Walter Payton and 2,355 yards behind the all time leading rusher Emmitt Smith, and he is going into his 16th season in the NFL. It looks like Gore should be able to surpass the great Mr. Walter Payton, however he will have to either have a couple career seasons or play for atoner 5 to 7 seasons to catch Mr. Emmitt Smith, chances are he will not be able to do so. That being said, he will be the number 2 rusher of all time, he is already one of the toughest players to ever play in the NFL, this man should not have even made it to and through college with the injuries he had, but he did. He kept working, he never gave up, he tore both of his knees to shreds man, Warren Sapp stated that one of them was in high school, high school and he kept the fight alive, takes something and someone special for that. Yet not too many people talk bout Frank Gore other than the classic, laugh and oh I thought he retired, he didn't retire, he kept working, and now without having to make a scene or get all over social media and say look at me, he is going to be 2nd in rushing yards, ALL TIME, yet no Hall of Gore? Thats a joke, a joke, some of the running backs in the Hall of Fame are not nearly as good as Gore, didn't play as long as Gore, didn't rush for nearly as many yards as Gore, but they have their busts n Canton. This man is the exact reason why we all do what we do, why we keep lifting all those weights, why we have the blurred eyed nights of studying an preparing, its to be just like him. Not too many people have a team in their corner constantly saying they can succeed and are great and all that, most of us are doubted and told we are not good enough, all that, and Gore gets that daily, obviously, no one thinks he is a Hall of Fame running back. This man is an inspiration for all people, athletics or not, to do the right thing work harder than the next man, perfect your craft, preparation, endurance, and most importantly courage, courage enough to say no to the doubters and the disbelievers, to say I will persevere, I will not let injury or doubt stop me, I will succeed. Omega Sports hat is off to this man, my hat is off to this man, he is amazing and a positive inspiration in a time and in a world where that is few and far between, where we no longer have hero's for children to look up to because we have a social media and media culture where we want to exploit everyone and where all publicity is good publicity, where being seen and heard is more important that what someone is saying, lost. Vote for Gore for Hall of Fame, if he ever retires that is, and you know what, I hope he retires on his terms, not due to injury, and I hope he takes the all time rushing record with him and proves to all that he is not only a Hall of Fame running back but he is also one of the greatest NFL running backs to ever do it. Go get a few more rings Mr. Gore.
