Hall of Famer coach, leader of men, and competitor but more importantly Hall of Fame man, a class act. Parcells stated during his Hall of Fame speech about how his football teams never saw racial color(s) he and they asked for one thing, "are you willing to help us win, if so then come aboard, if not, get out." Simple with Parcells, work hard, try harder, and never give up, a Jersey guy through and through. We all know about Parcells historic time in New York as the Giants head coach, winning two Super Bowls in '87 and and '91 with his Half of Fame style 3-4 defense lead by one, Lawrence Taylor. This however is not what this special is about, this is about Bill Parcells the man, the human, the person who is more like me and you then we all know. We love Parcells at Omega Sports, we love men like this men who push and push and never stop to win, to better themselves and others, we like that type of man here. Parcells came off as hard nosed, mean old ball coach, that would take no shit, and would be all over you if you made a big mistake, yet he would do the opposite. Human being, no greater or better than anyone else, a human being, but driven, hungry, and motivated for greatness, because he knew what really mattered. How man rings does Bill have 2, how many gold jackets, 1, and do you know what he was doing in his mid 30's before rising to coaching immortality, taking a job selling insurance, to provide for his wife, kids, his family, like me and you do everyday. He was miserable, depressed, didn't want to even get out of bed daily I bet, but he did, and when he sat in his chair at work he realized he was put on this earth for one thing, to be a football coach. He may have been nervous, scared, whatever anyone would feel but he pushed through and he made it. From Jersey, and now the new Head Football coach for his home town New York Giants, wow he did it. Did you know Parcells kept his high school basketball coach with him during is entire coaching career, paying back to him what he gave Parcells and then some winning two Super Bowls, love it, didn't forget where he came from, sounds like Parcells is thankful to me. I have to state this, and I didn't want to, doesn't need to be said, but its true. I have never met Mr. Bill Parcells, probably never will but if I did I have to thank him for saving my life. Going through as trying of a time in life, I had no hope, or motivation, then I heard Parcells say to his '87 Giants team after their Super Bowl victory, "The rest of your life, no body could ever tell ya that you couldn't do it, cause you did it." I got up, wrote that down on a paper, tacked it next to the door I had to walk through every morning, to never forget. I never forgot, I won't ever forget, I have been where Parcells was, miserable with where you are in life, seeing nothing, no hope, but never giving up and never giving up on your dreams. Omega Sports is that, Omega Sports would have never been made of thought without Bill Parcells, and now we work, harder than yesterday, never giving up, never ever loosing the dream. Today, when I get up in the morning and I make my way to the bathroom and I see the man in the glass, staring back at me I know he isn't done I know he isn't perfect yet, but I know he is a good man, caring, loving, and ready for what next. Thank you Mr. Parcells, you may never see this or know this but thank you for giving me and my family something very special. Omega Sports will pay it forward.
