Today is..... Sunday January 10th 2021, and the NFL Playoffs are underway! Finally there is something to do, something to watch,... something to gamble on, (that is not looked at as completely ridiculous) and today has a full slate of games with the Ravens vs. the Titans, the Steelers vs the Browns, and the Saints vs. da Bears. As I am writing this the Ravens have already run over the Titans eliminating Derrick Henry and is big boy stiff arms from the race to the Lombardi trophy. Lamar ran around again, per usual, but in the 4th quarter made an amazing 5 to 7 yard completion over the middle thru the absolute smallest throwing window possible, absolutely amazing, and signs that Mr. Jackson may, in fact, be an NFL quarterback. I love Lamar, I do, I love his story, I love his passion to prove the doubters wrong, I love it all, but I am not stupid and I have seen this countless times with these run first quarterbacks. Look at Michael Vick, this is my number one guy, huge reason I am writing this now, and Vick was a much better thrower of the football as well and even Vick could not win the big one, he couldn't be consistent, and he could stay healthy, and Lamar is on the same path if he doesn't change. Steve Young, Hall of Fame quarterback stated in his, "A Football Life," the job of the NFL quarterback is simple, one must be able to stand in the pocket and deliver the football on time with accuracy, that is the job, do the job, and Young was most defiantly one of the greatest running quarterbacks of all time, he was and is still one of the most accurate passers ever as well. If Lamar wants to not only in next week, but continue winning this season and for the rest of his hopefully long career, then he HAS to listen to Mr. Young and do the job, run to buy more time to throw, make your reads, trust your preparation. Go get 'em Lamar.
