Wednesday, January 13th, 2021 and it's "hump day," stuck in the middle of the week and still 2 more days left of work for the week and 2 more days left until NFL playoff football. Earlier today the Chicago Bears officially announced that Matt Nagy, Bears head football, and GM Ryan Pace will be returning in the 2021 season after having an under whelming season according to all the horrible predictions and Bears fans, but they did make it to the post season, which may be the only reason why they will be returning. However, no statement was made about starter then back up then starter Mitchell Trubisky returning for the 2021 season. Back up Bears quarterback Nick Foles has a current contract and is signed for the 2021 season and should be in line to at least compete for the starting role in Chicago. So, since ole' Mitch has no new contract coming to him as of now, does this mean that the Bears have no plans to re-sign the young quarterback for next season? What is going on in Chicago these days, they start Trubisky for the season opener the quickly bench him, announce that Foles will be the stater for the rest of the season, then end up starting Trubisky again at the end of the season. When the Bears benched Trubisky it wasn't an injury where he had to come out and lost his job to someone who was on fire, they pulled his ass and pretty much told Mitch he stinks and he is not good enough to start as quarterback in the NFL, even for their sorry excuse for an offense. They buried Trubsky, to use a wrestling term, they crushed him and squashed him down to tiny shell of himself, yet Trubisky stepped up when his number was called, at least enough to remain starter and make it to the playoffs. That being said, the question that arises is if the Bears let Mitch go does he get a new job and if he does and if he plays will be succeed? Will the Bears see that despite all of the odds against their, at least for now, young quarterback Trubisky has talent just not the talent that we are use to seeing at the quarterback position or will the Chicago Bears make Mitchell Trubisky into the next Tim Tebow? Da Bears.
