Today is Thursday, January 28, 2021 and sadly we have no NFL football this weekend, no intense playoff games to watch, no pregame shows, no hopes broken and dreams made this weekend, but wait a second, I almost forgot, we have the Pro Bowl. I wish I did forget about the Pro Bowl this year, but I didn't and come this Sunday afternoon we have quite a different day ahead of us, with the Pro Bowl being officially cancelled by the NFL, we know the shield will not miss out on a profitable weekend. This years Pro Bowl will instead of being a hollow version of an All-Star game played by players with nothing to play for after a long season, we will see some of those same players playing Madden 21 on T.V. Wow, that should have just loaded up the new AFC and NFC Pro Bowl rosters to the game and just broadcasted the simulation of the Pro Bowl game for crying out loud, now we have to watch some of our favorite NFL players play Madden against each other to determine which conference wins the Pro Bowl this year. I don't get it, I really don't, I see that they are trying to provide something to watch because the game itself was cancelled, but why cancel the game, we have played every game this season, every playoff game, but no Pro Bowl. This shows playing in the Pro Bowl is a joke for NFL players and most fans don't care much about it anyway, only person who cared about the Pro Bowl was Sean Taylor, rest in peace. The NFL needs to really take a good look into the Pro Bowl, it is clearly flawed being held after the season is over and on the off week before the Super Bowl, its suppose to be and All-Star game and they won't even call it an All-Star game because of how pathetic it is year in and year out. What if the NFL was able to get the Pro Bowl to were MLB had their All-Star game back in the day, when guys were trying as hard as possible because they wanted to shine above all the great talents playing in the game and the game actually meant something. I understand the NFL can not play the Pro Bowl during the middle of the season, its not possible, they would have to take a couple week break, play the game during those 2 weeks, and then return to normal NFL schedule, not possible to do, so what does the NFL do? There is no clear answer in the issue, not without having to sacrifice something somewhere, yet we as fans of the NFL and football, we want football on the Sunday off before the Super Bowl, meaningful, entertaining, football, not NFL players playing Madden on T.V. horribly, not good NFL, not good.
