Congrats to Davonta Smith for winning the 2020 Heisman trophy, becoming the first wide receiver to win the Heisman trophy in almost 30 years, last being Michigan's Desmond Howard. What an unbelievable feat for Smith who is not even 200 lbs, running around out there for his life, and come next season when he enters the NFL the boys get bigger, stronger, and faster. If Davonta wants to make the transition into the NFL like is Alabama alum Julio Jones, then he will have to follow suit, and start packing on this pounds, healthy like, and do everything to maintain your speed down the field, oh yeah, perfect the route tree like Julio too, could help. Now, this Heisman victory for Davonta Smith, and no fault of his own, but corona's fault, this trophy victory may sadly have an asterisk added to it, as we all know, the field of college talent was not all able to compete this season, some had shortened seasons, some had as normal as could be seasons, and some didn't even get to have a season. What a shame, Davonta Smith seems to be a great kid, his Heisman speech was great, his message to the young athlete that hears about how they are not big enough or fast enough, to not believe in the negative and focus on the positive, you create your own destiny and you get to choose which way it goes. Good job Davonta, show 'em that there should be no doubt that you were in fact the best college football player in 2020 and despite it all, you persevered.
