All of the talk about the recent annual firings of head coaches around the NFL has brought up a very good opportunity for a certain Ohio State head coach, Urban Meyer, to make the jump to the NFL stage, sadly, it's in Jacksonville. The Jags have been on the bottom of the NFL for just about their entire time as a team, since their inception into the NFL as an expansion team. The Jaguars have had loosing season after loosing season yet the amount of elite caliber talent that goes thru Jacksonville is absolutely amazing. Think about a recent departure from the Jags this season, Leonard Fournette, and the effect that he is now having on the playoff bound Tampa Bay Bucs. Last season Fournette was widely viewed as a slow, over weight running back from LSU that may be closer to the likes of Jamarcus Russell rather than players like Odell Beckham Jr, and at the time, Bo Jackson, because there was a time where Leonard was viewed as the greatest running back ever to play, while at LSU. Fournette was and is still known as the greatest running back to ever play high school football in Florida, maybe the country. Now that Meyer will be taking the lead in Jacksonville, will he be able to see all of the talent that the Jags have and get due to always loosing and always being one of the top 5 picks in the NFL, just about every year. Will Meyer's style of play calling work in the NFL today, will he have to change everything, scrap the offense that has won him multiple National Championships at Florida and Ohio State? Will Meyer be able to make these NFL players decide to completely buy-in to his coaching style and leadership, or will this just be a repeat of the Nick Saban debacle in Miami? Good thing for Meyer, Miami is in Florida, and Florida is use to having the most crazy situations arising at any given moment. Good Luck Urban, may you see your talent, if you get any, and may you enjoy years of well, sunshine and Tebow highlights.
